A Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Some events leave an impression. This was one of them.

On 31 May, Grand Hotel Karel V in Utrecht opened its doors for A Lazy Sunday Afternoon, co-hosted by Society World Magazine and Porsche Centrum Leusden.

The event brought together roughly 500 of the Netherlands’ most discerning guests: entrepreneurs, investors, and tastemakers who know the difference between noise and signal.

The setting was impeccable. Michelin-starred chef Leon Mazairac curated the culinary experience, couturier Addy van den Krommenacker presented his latest designs, and 35 carefully selected partners shared their craft throughout the afternoon. Porsche-only parking and the quiet grandeur of Karel V set the tone before guests even walked through the door.

Baraca Capital was proud to be among this carefully selected group of partners.

During the afternoon, we introduced a select group of guests and existing Baraca investors to Tampah Beach Villas: our beachfront development in South Lombok, Indonesia.

For Baraca, South Lombok represents a market we have been following with close attention. After Dubai and Bali, the region stands out for its rare combination of landscape, improving accessibility, and growing relevance among international buyers with a long-term view.

That relevance was reflected in the room.

Guests were already aware of Lombok’s momentum. Their questions went beyond surface-level interest. They wanted to understand location, structure, access, timing, and the broader context behind the region’s development.

That is where Tampah Beach Villas gave the afternoon a sharper focus.

The project sits within a wider shift in international real estate: attention is moving beyond established markets toward destinations where infrastructure, lifestyle, scarcity, and long-term appeal begin to align.

South Lombok is one of those destinations.

For Baraca, this is the conversation worth leading: identifying markets before they become obvious, explaining them with clarity, and helping clients make considered decisions around international property ownership.
